We are looking fora Senior Software Engineer to drive the processing and implementation of our Telemetry platforms. Our team's charter is to enable our feature teams to understand their customers via telemetry data and drive strategic investment to make them successful.You will provide the data to enable critical decision makers to drive strategic investments across Teams and M365 and enable over 100 engineering teams to provide world-class operational monitoring and support for Teams.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop andmaintaincomponents that power the Telemetry infrastructure for Microsoft Teams, including AI instrumentation frameworks
  • Champion best practices, tools, and processes for a data-driven, quality-focused release of Microsoft Teams asfrequentlyas possible to our customers
  • Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume datasystemsfor scalabilityand compliance.
  • Collaborateclosely withEngineers, Product Managers and Technical ProgramManagerson innovative solutions,in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience working with building AI instrumentation is a plus.
  • Data driven, customer obsessed, and organized.
  • Ability to perform debugging across multiple components and services.
  • Experience working with AI platforms, frameworks, and APIs.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
