Job Summary
The Senior Compensation Coordinator supports the daily administration, processing, and documentation of enterprise compensation programs by performing complex operational tasks, data validation, market data preparation, and job description activities.

Primary Objectives
  • Review and process job and pay change documentation for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices.
  • Maintain job description content and workflows.
  • Participate in salary surveys and gather data from survey sources to support internal and external market analysis.
  • Provide transactional, analytical, and administrative support for union and non?union compensation programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and process job requisitions, offers, Personnel Action Notices (PANs), and union rate adjustments.
  • Initiate, track, and finalize job description workflows for new and revised positions.
  • Review, edit, and update job descriptions in alignment with job architecture, content standards, and classification guidelines.
  • Gather and evaluate market data and prepare initial market pricing recommendations.
  • Maintain and update effective, efficient, and comprehensive compensation process and procedure documentation.
  • Perform audits to ensure alignment with compensation program guidelines and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and submit salary survey data files within required timeframes.
  • Respond to compensation-related inquiries.
  • Prepare and audit documentation for mass updates, mail merges, and PANs.
  • Prepare, modify, and distribute routine reports, charts, and data files.
  • Assist with data preparation, validation, and system tasks related to merit and incentive compensation programs.
  • Assist with configuration and testing of compensation plans and processes in HR systems.
  • Assist with projects, analysis, and departmental initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of compensation-related manager training and communications.
  • Maintain and communicate task lists, assignment updates, and project status information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (HSED) required
  • Associate degree or college-level coursework in a related field preferred
Work Experience
  • 3+ years' compensation, HR operations, or directly related experience supporting high?volume transactional processing and data management required
  • Experience creating or revising job descriptions preferred
  • Experience submitting and utilizing private industry market data preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to process and audit transactions and data accurately and efficiently, with strong commitment to data integrity and quality.
  • Knowledge and understanding of compensation processes, including job and pay action processing and salary survey participation.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft, edit, and update clear and concise job description content.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, validate information, and follow directions and procedures precisely.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply written instructions, policies, and process documentation with consistency and accuracy.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate findings and process requirements to HR teams, managers, and employees.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast?paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality practices and data privacy requirements for handling employee and organizational data.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Zone 1: Starting rate $36.00; up to $40.00 for highly qualified candidates
