DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, in addition to assisting the Medical Cost Containment Chief, you will be tasked with supervising clerical staff, monitoring division contractors, and tracking legislative changes, case laws, and trends in medical cost containment practices. Work includes handling the workers' compensation chargemaster and fee schedule, the medical accessibility study, and impairment rating evaluation programs as well as a full range of supervisory duties. This includes ensuring adherence to provisions of the PA Workers' Compensation Act, specifically pertaining to medical cost containment. Additional responsibilities include:
- Developing solutions to improve divisional operations and to support statutory requirements
- Assessing the impact of new legislation or case law, and identifying changes needed
- Preparing reports and making policy recommendations
- Performing a wide variety of administrative duties, as needed

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, with the expectation of reporting in-office two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
