JANITOR LFS SEASONAL

LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have two year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and two seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Summary: LFS is seeking a Janitor to work at our Seasonal location in Naknek Alaska.Cleans public and private areas of marine center. Duties include performing the following duties:

• Orders supplies and maintains cleaning supply inventory list.
• Cleans storage rooms, bathrooms, offices, corridors, processing areas, and stairways.
• Clean and stock boatyard bathrooms and laundry area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies in common bathrooms and laundry areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replace light bulbs.

This is a seasonal non-benefited position.Room, board, and flight to and from Naknek provided. The job requires you to work at least 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, at our multi-use facility. (Retail store/boatyard/bunkhouse facility)

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

• High school diploma or general education degree.

Preferred education and experience

• Previous experience working at remote bunk house or fish camp style facility.
• Light maintenance and repair skills

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to cleaning chemicals. Work will be performed in a variety of environments, including offices, bathrooms, corridors, stairways, sales floor, warehouse, and outside in the boatyard.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk to hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.

The employee is required to talk or listen.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

This job includes room and board; as well as transportation to and from Naknek.
