RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Supervisor, Teleradiology to join our team. As a Supervisor, Teleradiology, you will be responsible for providing administrative and technological support for the teleradiology department by sending radiologic images over WAN and LAN between centers and to radiologists. Ensures all record requests are fulfilled in an appropriate manner that all outgoing shipping is completed accurately and on time. Posts processing of Images (3D) when appropriate. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensures images and paperwork are sent to appropriate radiologist and location; follows up with radiologist if previous day's exams are not read
2. Checks ACUO, eFilm and computers for proper function
3. Troubleshoots Radiology Information System (RIS), ACUO and eFilm issues
4. Checks RIS for each site and modality for "pending manual association"
5. Communicates with on-call radiologist concerning exams that need to be networked to their homes on a daily basis
6. Prints reports for outside comparison films
7. Pulls all comparison films and outside reads for appropriate radiologist
8. Restores previous exams from DAT, Radstore or Optical Disc as directed by radiologist
9. 3D imaging, bone densitometry, CTA
10. Ensures department voice mail and email are answered in a timely manner
11. Answers questions that radiologists may have about exams that were performed
12. Ensures all reports and images are received for outside comparisons
13. Communicates with referring physician offices by giving them verbal reports of transcribed medical reports
14. Orders and maintains office supplies for work area
15. Maintains and updates all teleradiology policy and procedure manuals

1. Participates in the hiring and training of new associates
2. Leads regular staff meetings and employee one-on-ones
3. Establishes employee schedules to provide for planned vacations and time off
4. Manages overall staffing levels for adequate center coverage at all times
5. Ensures all HIPAA guidelines for release of information are followed by all associates in the teleradiology department
6. Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, compensation and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or terminations
