Job Description

Shift: 1st
Schedule: 7 AM to 3 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00



Summary:
Shippers are responsible for maintaining the quality of material being shipped as well as the accuracy of the shipments. Employee will work individually and as a team to pull, stage, load, and unload shipments. This job will require the employee to work in all areas of the warehouse.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Staging for shipments
  • Accuratelyread Pick List, and adjusting inventory totals accordingly
  • Maintain accuracyof shipment paperwork, such as Load Sheet and Tier List
  • Loading & unloading trailers
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure product being shipped meets specifications
  • Maintain clean work area
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of forklift driving experience preferred (sit-down, propane, electric)
  • Routinely stands for long periods, climbs on and off forklifts, stands, reaches, pushes, and pulls materials in/out of trucks, and throughout the plant
  • Willingness to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Capable of training new employees
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Availability for overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts



Education Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent



Physical Requirements:



  • Must be able to repetitively pull, lift and stack rolls of product, that can be up to 5' tall, and weigh up to 40lbs
  • Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time
