Job Classification: Maintenance Storeroom Clerk


Wage: $30.87 per hour



Principle Responsibilities:


The Maintenance Storeroom Clerk is responsible for managing inventory and ensuring the efficient operations of the maintenance storeroom in a paper mill environment. This role involves tracking parts and materials and supporting maintenance staff by providing necessary tools and supplies to minimize downtime.


A summary of the position is listed below, but is not all inclusive.



  • Maintain accurate inventory records of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Organize and store materials in designated locations for easy retrieval.
  • Issue parts and tools to maintenance personnel and track usage.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure proper stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized storeroom.
  • Assist in identifying obsolete or excess inventory for disposal or redistribution.
  • Utilize computerized inventory management systems to update records.
  • Support maintenance team with clerical and administrative duties as needed.
  • Support maintenance colleagues on regularly scheduled planned shutdowns and on unplanned emergency repairs.


Qualifications & Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Physical ability to work in industrial environments, including lifting heavy parts.
  • Understanding of workplace safety protocols and adherence to PPE requirements.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS




  • Starting salary for position: $30.87 per hour.
  • Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
