Overview

This position provides leadership to therapy services staff at offsite locations including performance management, talent acquisition and budgetary responsibilities. Maintains regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Carle Experience: Grows patient satisfaction, employee engagement and interdepartmental relationships through rounding and continuous process improvement activities.

Participate in patient care rounding at each location.

Ensures adequate access to services.

Serves as primary point of resolution for patient relations and customer concerns.

Quality: Ensure department quality metrics are achieved and implements associated action planning in coordination with Director, to drive process improvement and deliver high quality patient care and customer service.

Works with key medical and technical staff across the continuum of care, to ensure that evidence based practice guidelines and protocols are aligned.

Management/Operational Oversight: Manages operations of department and ensures standards of quality and service are provided in accordance with department goals and priorities.

Responsible for analyzing departmental performance meaningful department related to production statistics, key performance indicators, audit results, regulatory reports, etc.

Ensures efficient delivery of therapy services by ensuring throughput and scheduling processes streamlined and effective.

Ensures the department has the necessary supplies, equipment and personnel to efficiently deliver patient care.

Develops, reviews and revises departmental policies and procedures.

Identifies areas of strategic growth in therapy services and works with Director in development of strategic plan.

Acts are primary liaison between staff and other members of the leadership team for each outpatient therapy location.

Works with hospital based therapy teams to allocate resources between departments in order to best meet the needs of all patients.

Budget/Revenue Cycle: Assists the Director with planning the annual operating and capital budgets for those departments of oversight and monitors monthly to ensure expected budgetary goals are met.

Ensures operational processes support efficient billing practices, and teamembers are completing documentation/billing in accordance with expected timelines.

Compliance: Maintains awareness and compliance with regulatory standards related to department, provide staff education as necessary.

Assists with maintaining accreditation processes in order to comply with regulatory standards.

Human Resource Management: Responsible for development of Therapy Services staff.

This includes hiring, assessing performance, mentoring/coaching, and disciplinary action as appropriate.

Promotes an environment conducive to positive, collaborative, and accountable working relationships.

Establishes and maintains open and cooperative relationships with physicians, other Carle departments and businesses, external service groups, faculty of various education programs, and the community.

If applicable, completes annual education as assigned to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $48.43per hour - $83.3per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
