This position is National Remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.

Positions in this role are responsible for analyzing training needs across the organization and developing high quality training materials, communications, and learning activities to support job and role requirements. This includes conducting ongoing evaluations of training effectiveness and recommending or implementing improvements as needed. The role frequently collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and involves creating both online and web based learning resources. A key focus is supporting the Veteran Services (VS) Quality Support and Training Manager in enhancing provider training programs.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4-6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of VS Quality Support materials and training modules
  • Deliver virtual, electronic, virtual training to practitioners within the VBA provider network
  • Create, maintain, and update reference guides and provider communications
  • Evaluate training tools, methods, and processes to ensure program effectiveness
  • Conduct needs analyses and present recommendations for improvement to the Training Manager
  • Collaborate with operational partners to design and develop training aligned with business needs
  • Research and propose innovative training techniques, tools, and resources
  • Draft, edit, and distribute communications to the VBA provider network

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 5+ years of experience developing and deploying online learning or e learning content
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design
  • 2+ years of experience leading classroom, seminar, or workshop style training
  • Proficiency OR 2+ years of experience with Articulate Storyline, InDesign, SnagIt, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of training theory, adult learning principles, and educational methodology
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret basic medical terminology and communication
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
  • Flexibility and decisiveness in a fast-growing environment
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, influence, and listen effectively
  • Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with drive for results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience delivering training in healthcare or sports medicine
  • Experience and/or Knowledge in using project management techniques
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Leadership experience in a business or military setting

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
