Performance and Learning Systems Specialist Position Summary The Performance & Learning Systems Specialist is responsible for the development, deployment and continuous improvement of Austin Powder's global talent and performance systems - enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) governance, Performance Goal Planning, Performance Check-Ins, Performance Reviews, Professional Development Library, Talent KPIs and Metrics - deployed through multiple methodologies and platforms, including the Workday HRIS, and/or other electronic systems. This role collaborates with HR Team Members and global Business Partners to ensure enterprise alignment and adoption of these systems, for the purpose of fostering and advancing the Performance Management and People Development culture at Austin Powder. The Performance and Learning Systems Specialist will report to the Director of Organizational Development. Key Responsibilities and Duties Learning Management System (LMS) -
- Drives compliance with enterprise LMS governance standards across all functional user groups and administrators; ensures alignment of HRIS global employee data through partnership with HR and IT Team resources
Professional Development Content Curation -
- Acts as lead content curator for enterprise LMS Professional Development Library which addresses soft skill topic areas and which supports online learning for other key Talent and Learning & Development focus areas, including: Leadership Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Wellness, etc.
Talent and Performance Tools -
- Partners with the HRIS Team and global HR Business Partners to develop, deploy and continuously improve all talent and performance tools delivered the Austin Powder HRIS and ensures global adoption by the organization's Managers and Employees.
Talent KPIs and Metrics -
- Creates, curates and distributes reporting and metrics derived from the HRIS and other talent systems and processes.
Learning Content Authoring and Support Resources -
- Leads the development and deployment of training resources (documents, webinars, e-learning modules, podcasts, videos, Teams channels, etc.) to address enterprise learning needs and initiatives.
Training Event Coordination -
- Manages the logistical planning and execution of key training-related events (Leadership Development Workshops, Location Manager Training Sessions, etc.) delivered via multiple modalities, including Instructor-Led classroom training and online learning.
Training, Learning & Organizational Development Communications -
- Fosters engagement and awareness of learning and development resources via key communication media, including: Organizational Development shared email account, Powder Keg intranet, Teams communications, etc.
- Maintains strong partnerships with Organizational Development Team Members, global Human Resources Team and Business Partners to ensure collaboration, information sharing and optimal program and project outcomes.
- Completes all other projects assigned by the Director, Organizational Development.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Psychology, General Business, Information Technology or related field
- A minimum of three years of full-cycle Human Resources experience
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Work experience in planning and deploying corporate learning events
- Experience in developing learning content leveraging adult learning principles
- Work experience in a global and/or Center of Excellence organization, preferred

- Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in HR process improvement, preferred
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and work under minimal supervision
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Travel will be <10%
- Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time while frequently typing, viewing computer screens and use of mouse/keyboard.
- Operation of office equipment to include but not limited to telephones, printers, copiers, and scanners.
- Repetitive motion of data entry, hand, finger wrist motion and dexterity.
- May include filing and handling paperwork may involve repetitive reaching, grasping, or bending.
- Light lifting and carrying of office supplies, files, or boxes (generally under 25 lbs.).
- May need to set up for meetings (moving chairs, refreshments, etc.).
- Will require walking and standing during the office hours, during events, meeting setup etc.
- Good vision for reading and screen use.
- Clear verbal communication and active listening, often over the phone or video calls.
Location
- Beachwood, OH
- Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm ET. Currently, operating under a hybrid schedule with in-office days M-T-W and remote on Thursday and Friday. The hybrid schedule is subject to change at any time and is not guaranteed based on the needs of the executive.
