Your Job

Molex is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Naperville, IL. This role is responsible for specifying, architecting, designing and verifying electronic devices based on microcontrollers, sensors and radios. These IOT based designs are for the purpose of creating solutions for our customers in the marketplace of thin flexible BLE labels, human machine interfaces (HMI), and skin-attached medical/wearable sensors.

An ideal candidate will have knowledge of wireless interfaces such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Near Field Communications (NFC), and Wi-Fi. The Electrical Engineer will design battery-powered electronics that utilize very low power modes to extend the life of the battery. We are seeking candidates who can select the components, design the schematic, do board layout, and bench level validate the result. The Electrical Engineer should be able to provide clear directions for a test engineer to validate products. The ideal candidate enjoys the design challenge and investigates issues to improve the design based on design experience.

The Electrical Engineer reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and works directly with mechanical engineers, costing engineers, quality engineers, test engineers, and technicians. They will lead projects and works hand in hand with mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate understands the importance of producing quality documentation, following a product development process, and utilizing a PLM system to maintain revision control.

Product specific focus areas include BLE smart labels and wearable skin patches. Our design team focuses on developing silver printed electronic devices and flexible polyimide copper circuits. If the product fits into focus areas, it may also utilize a standard FR4 based design. We assist customers in the development of unique flexible hybrid electronics.
