Job Title Deputy Editor, Travel + LeisureJob Description About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements The Deputy Editor, Travel + Leisure, is responsible for content creation (assigning, editing, writing, ideating) across print and digital for the world's leading travel media brand. This would include, in addition to working 11 print issues a year, working on SIP and digital issues; developing new lines of revenue streams (events, newsletters) alongside the EIC and SVP/GM; and managing new signature tentpoles for the brand. This candidate should be deeply passionate about the travel industry, and nimble at working across multiple channels (including video) and on numerous platforms. In-person requirements and commitments include weekly meetings with travel industry executives, as well as attending events and speaking on behalf of the brand. This candidate should also be comfortable with traveling to conferences; writing and pitching regularly; and leading team meetings or standing in as a representative, in the absence of the EIC, with the sales team. Experience with and understanding of budgeting is also required. Hybrid 3x a week- (New York) In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
