FMS System Engineer
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprise is looking for a FMS Systems Engineer in Virginia Beach, VA.
- This position is to provide Engineering and Technician Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS) support for systems and equipment installed onboard Taiwan Naval ships.
Job Description:
- Provide installation and system engineering support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
- Provide system engineering support for combat systems equipment and peripheral systems for Taiwan Navy ships and Taiwan Physical Mock-Ups (PMU).
- Provide lab support for Harvesting of Material and Testing, Assembly, Packaging, Inventory of Spares.
- Provide Material Condition Assessments (MCA), grooming support, and Technical Assists (TA) for shipboard installations.
- Provide system level expertise to update and maintain IETMS.
- Provide part and sparing support for INCO kits, MAMs kits, and other various other part kits.
- Provide Preventative Maintenance Support (PMS) for SSDS.
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma and 5 plus years' experience working with SSDS or Shipboard systems.
- Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel).
Desired Requirements
- Experience working on Dam Neck Annex Base, preferred.
- IETM development Experience, preferred.
- S1000D Specifications Experience, preferred.
- Navy ERP experience with material management modules, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance.
- Must maintain clearance eligibility to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
Travel Requirements:
- Less than 25%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
- Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
- Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
