ON DEMAND MESSAGING

The OpenText On Demand Messaging (ODM) group is part of the Digital Experience unit, contributing to the world's most complete and integrated Information Management platform. We empower our customers to organize, integrate and protect data and content as it flows through business processes inside and outside their organization. The world's largest organizations run in the OpenText Cloud with the ODM group processing over 4 billion secure documents per year through 8,000+ customers.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Account Executive position is responsible for generating sales and revenue growth for OpenText's Digital Experience - On Demand Messaging products and services within the Midwest territory. This position requires strong prospecting, communications, and closing skills to support and drive direct and indirect (via Partners) business. This Account Executive will demonstrate the ability to drive sales process from start to finish directly with the prospective customer. This is a position on our Enterprise US West Sales Team and carries an individual quota. The ideal candidate would reside in the territory (Pacific Northwest) or within reasonable proximity.

YOU ARE GREAT AT

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives within assigned sales territory. Build and maintain a sales pipeline 3-5x quarterly and full year quota.
  • Create and execute plans to accomplish sales objectives by leveraging existing channels and creating sales opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Establish and grow customer relationships while elevating conversations to the C-Level.
  • Identify opportunities with net-new and installed base customers through strategic outbound calling efforts.
  • Lead complex sales discussions including discovery, proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Assume responsibility for accurate sales forecasting by demonstrating in depth knowledge of the sales cycles from initial contact through procurement process. Also, ensure that sales activities are accurately and regularly updated in Salesforce.com and reviewed with your territory team & management, as appropriate.

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Technology sales experience closing 7 figure cloud contracts
  • Multiple years selling into Enterprise accounts defined as over $1B in revenue
  • Successful in moving existing customers from on premise to cloud
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Sales specific training around methodology, process or negotiation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and influence partners' business through strategic coaching
  • Excellent presentation skills, both virtual and in-person
  • Ability to travel at least 10% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) with 3-5 years of technology sales experience

As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $109,000 - $163,400 + variable ; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.

California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
