Commercial Assistant, Football

Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Commercial Assistant to support the Football Commercial Team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of commercial operations, supporting Business Development and Commercial Managers across client management, sales pipeline and contract administration, proposal creation, and internal coordination.
In addition to supporting senior team members, the role offers the opportunity to take ownership of selected smaller commercial opportunities, providing valuable exposure to the full commercial lifecycle.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone early in their commercial career who is detail-oriented, comfortable working across teams, and who has a passion for sport and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Client & Stakeholder Support:
Act as a first point of contact for commercial enquiries, directing requests to appropriate stakeholders.
Support ongoing client relationships through regular communication, coordination, and follow-up.
Assist with gathering client requirements and ensuring accurate internal information flow.
Commercial Administration & Contract Support
Assist with the preparation, coordination, and administration of new client contracts, renewals, and addendums.
Support Commercial Managers by ensuring contract documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
Coordinate internal contract reviews and approvals with Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders.
Track contract status, key dates, and milestones to support timely execution and renewals.
Maintain organised and accessible records of all contracts, agreements, addendums, and related correspondence.
CRM, Data & Reporting:
Maintain and update client, opportunity, and contract data within the CRM system.
Support the preparation of commercial reports, pipeline updates, and dashboards.
Assist with basic data analysis to support commercial planning and decision-making.
Bid & Proposal Support:
Support the Commercial team with bids for renewals, upsells, and new business opportunities.
Assist with proposal drafting, formatting, and presentation materials.
Manage bid timelines and coordinate inputs from internal teams including Operations, Technology, Finance, and Legal.
Small Business Opportunity Ownership:
Lead on smaller commercial opportunities, including selected renewals, upsells, and new business prospects
Manage client communications for assigned opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and clear next steps.
Coordinate internal stakeholders to prepare commercial proposals, pricing, and documentation.
Support commercial discussions within agreed parameters and escalate where necessary.
Assist with post-deal handover to delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
Passion for sports technology and knowledge of the football industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Confident interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.
Desirable:
Ability to understand and communicate technical products at a high level.
Experience using CRM systems or commercial tracking tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Exposure to commercial contracts or bid processes.
