Description

The Program for the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality at Smith College invites applications for a one-year, benefits eligible position at the rank of Lecturer to begin July 1, 2026. Teaching responsibilities for this position will include five courses, one of which will be an upper-level seminar.The content of these courses will depend upon the candidate's field of specialization. Candidates should have a strong foundation in intersectional approaches to gender studies, with a field focus in reproductive justice, policy and health. Candidates with expertise in regions outside of the U.S. are also encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in gender studies or a relevant field is expected by the time of appointment.



In addition to a competitive benefits package, starting pay range for this position is typically between $74,200-$76,200. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications.
