State Department Federal Credit Union is seeking a strategic and hands-on Assistant Manager of Payment Strategy to support the daily leadership and execution of our Payment Strategy Department. This role serves as a key operational partner, ensuring seamless oversight of credit and debit card programs, fraud prevention initiatives, ATM/ITM processing, and department reporting. The Assistant Manager acts as a subject matter expert and escalation point, helping drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across payment systems and vendor relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications Required Skills and Competencies: 1. Ability to perform the duties of the Manager of Payment Strategy in their absence and is an expert on all card type function(s) and system(s) parameters, vendor documentation and regulatory responsibilities. 2. Three to five years supervisory and relevant work experience in Credit/Debit card and ATM/ITM operations and card product development/analysis preferable with SDFCU or equivalent required. 3. Ability to analysis data and make appropriate decisions. 4. Two year degree or equivalent work-related experience or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions. 5. In-depth knowledge of lending terms and understanding of electronic forms of payment to include credit/debit cards and ATM/ITM's. 7. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 8. Ability to enforce deadlines and work under pressure and perform multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
