POSITION SUMMARY:

The Division Supply Chain Quality Technician functions within a matrixed organization, reporting directly to the Division Supply Chain Quality Manager and dot-line matrixed to the factory Quality Manager.

This role is responsible for supporting the factory by monitoring factory operation (including the Receiving dock) to identify supplier products delayed due to nonconformances, paperwork, shipping issues, etc. and take appropriate actions to reconcile whatever issues are negatively affecting the availability of supplier parts. Reconciliation actions may include escalation to the appropriate Supply Chain Quality Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be responsible for accomplishing the following:

  • Managing and solving day to day problems that occur with supplier products to make supplier product available to Manufacturing Operations. This may include evaluating problems related to received products or paperwork.

  • Demonstrating business acumen in communicating with suppliers via email and telephone to solve issues to make supplier product available to Manufacturing Operations.

  • Support and validate containment of nonconforming supplier parts upon receipt

  • Assist in validating supplier corrective actions upon part receipt

  • Communicate to the divisional Supply Chain Quality Engineering team, chronic supplier issues to drive continuous supplier improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or higher

  • Experience working in or with Quality, Engineering or Manufacturing disciplines

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of related inspection or supplier experience (Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, aerospace manufacturing preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Experience in inspection methods and the use of inspection tools to evaluate parts

  • Experience in evaluating technical materials including purchase orders, blueprints, specifications and other requirements as necessary.

  • Effective use of Microsoft software tools for communications
  • Ability to identify problems and develop solutions

  • Demonstrate the values of customer satisfaction, integrity, continuous improvement, and adherence to standards, aiming to ensure consistently high quality products or services.
