Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead endtoend project delivery for industrial, commercial, and capital projects-from initiation through commissioning and closeout-ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Develop project charters, goals, and master schedules for awarded work; define scope, assumptions, constraints, risk registers, milestones, deliverables, and resource/staffing plans.
  • Create and maintain project execution plans, contracting and procurement strategies, and project governance cadence.
  • Oversee project startup activities, including site readiness, constructability reviews, permitting/licensing requirements, and coordination with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and production impacts.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, estimates, cashflow forecasts, and cost reports; implement costcontrol practices (forecasting, earned value/quantity tracking when applicable) and resolve or approve variances.
  • Build and manage integrated project schedules (P6/MS Project), monitor progress, and produce accurate weekly/monthly status reports, lookaheads, and recovery plans as needed.
  • Lead feasibility assessments, including costbenefit and risk analyses, and provide recommendations and decisionmaking within delegated authority on behalf of the company.
  • Manage industrial field execution: lead site coordination meetings, oversee RFI/submittal workflows, review invoices/pay applications, administer change orders, and maintain disciplined document control.
  • Oversee contractor and vendor selection, bid evaluations, and contract finalization; administer trade/contractor agreements, ensure timely issue resolution, and enforce commercial terms.
  • Coordinate crossfunctional stakeholders including operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, design, estimating, site leadership, subcontractors, OEMs, vendors, and general contractors.
  • Identify, negotiate, and resolve technical and interpersonal conflicts; develop contingency and mitigation plans to address schedule, cost, supplychain, and siterelated risks.
  • Ensure adherence to company and client standards, industrial safety requirements, and regulatory obligations; promote safe work practices during site visits.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to internal team members to support capability development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, inspectors, and regulatory agencies; support audits/inspections and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
  • Drive quality outcomes by overseeing QA/QC requirements, inspection/test plans, punchlist management, and commissioning/turnover readiness to support successful startup and acceptance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts (lessons learned, standard work, process enhancements) to advance project delivery performance across the organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline PLUS five years or more of experience in commercial, mechanical, industrial, or insulation fields; OR ten years or more of progressively responsible experience in the same industries, including experience as a project manager, is required.
  • Proficient knowledge of construction equipment and methods, drawings and specifications, building materials, and disciplinespecific standards, including system prefabrication and installation requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam/Adobe Pro, estimating software, Procore/Primavera or other project management platforms, as well as filesharing systems.
  • Ability to pass preemployment background checks and any additional screenings required to access project sites.


Other Details:



  • This role is based on-site at our Duluth, MN office.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 50-75% of the time to be on project/customer work sites.
  • May include longer days and weekend work as needed for project support.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits:



  • The expected annual compensation range for this position is $80,900-$115,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
