The Role:

The Senior Fellow, Instinct Products & Roadmap is a recognized technical authority responsible for shaping thelong termtechnology direction of AMD Instinct products. This roleoperatesat the intersection of advanced technology exploration, product architecture, customer engagement, and strategic planning, ensuring future Instinct platforms deliver industry leading performance for AI training and inference workloads.

As a Senior Fellow, you will guide preconcept and early concept initiatives, influence multigeneration roadmaps, and partner deeply with engineering, product management, business development, and customers to translate emerging technologies into differentiated products.

As Instinct continues to scale in AI training and inference markets, this role ensures AMD is not just reacting to workloads, but shaping them-driving differentiated architectures, system solutions, and customer partnerships that define future generations of Instinct products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate exploration ofnew technologiesrelevant to Instinct products,identifyingopportunities that meaningfullyimpactAI performance, efficiency, scalability, and deploy-ability.
  • Guidetechnical direction of preconcept and earlyconcept programs, providing Fellowlevel architectural leadership to shapeviableproduct paths before formal product definition.
  • Engage with engineering teams across silicon, systems, software, and platforms to address critical technical challenges and drive crossstack optimization.
  • Partner with customers and strategic partners to understand workload requirements, co-develop optimized solutions, and influence Instinct product and platform roadmaps.
  • Collaborate closely with the business development organization on strategic client engagements, serving as a senior technical voice in customer discussions andlong-rangeplanning.
  • Provide technical guidance andexpertisetoproduct management, helping translate market and customer needs into coherent, forward-looking product strategies.
  • Represent AMD and the Instinct organization in executive, customer, and industry forums as a trusted technical leader.

Required Experience:

  • Deep experience architectingcuttingedgeSoCs or systems for AI training and inference workloads.
  • Strong understanding of AI workloads, including performance characteristics and their implications for SoC, system, and clusterlevel design.
  • Broad technical background spanning the full stack, from semiconductor process technology and SoC design through platforms, systems, and software.
  • Proven ability to partner with customers to define and deliver highly optimized,workloaddrivensolutions.
  • Demonstrated experience guiding technology exploration across multiple technical domains and translating innovation into productrelevant outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, witha track recordof influence in executive reviews, customer engagements, and industrylevel technical discussions.

Academic Credentials:

PhD/Master'sinComputer Science, Electrical Engineering, ora relatedtechnical field.
