Platform & Integration SME (Cloud Computing)

Peraton seeks a Platform & Integration SME to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with DCO AI Cyber Security Support. Location: Fort Meade, MD. In this role, you will provide SME-level cloud computing supporting the design and oversight of cloud and big data platform infrastructure supporting Caspian and JCRS-D environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, and implements cloud-based solutions.
• Implements and maintains big data platform infrastructure including Hadoop clusters, Spark nodes, and streaming platforms.
• Designs cloud architecture and completes plans and specifications to develop solutions.
• Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance and implements enhancements.
• Deploys and maintains Hadoop/Spark clusters.
• Configures streaming platforms (Kafka, Flink).
• Optimizes platform performance and resources.
• Implements platform security controls.
• Supports platform scaling and upgrades.
• Troubleshoots platform issues.
• Develops, maintains, and deploys infrastructure as code using CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.
• Must have direct technical and planning experience with Big Data Platform (BDP) and its implementation, financial management, and development within AWS GovCloud.
• Must have technical implementation and planning experience with Army DevSecOps process, Community DevSecOps (CDSO) pipeline approvals, agile development planning and implementation, Army acquisition process, data engineering, and BDP data ingestion.
• Must have a strong background in cybersecurity domain data due to the key support as the SME in data ingestion, working closely with stakeholders, internal teams, and engineering counterparts to design pipelines, and onboard new data sources for customer.
• Must have experience with providing detailed technical communication with leadership of all levels and prepared to represent DCDC interests in joint and internal Army objectives as it relates to the implementation and integration of the BDP.
• Must have experience with BDP product owner and enterprise on the integration of data-related enterprise initiatives supporting DoDIN Ops and DCO.
• Hadoop/Spark certifications.
• Cloud certifications, such as AWS/Azure Solutions Architect.
• U.S Citizenship required.
• DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
