Position Summary

The Department of Sociology & Criminology is looking for an enthusiastic student who is open to learning new skills in an office
environment. Our ideal candidate is able to work with others as well as independently and who can attend work on a consistent
basis. The primary duties include answering phones, relaying and resolving routine telephone and/or walk-up inquires, scheduling
calendar items and meetings, using a computer to enter data, scanning, shredding, and copying. Job duties also include resorting
paper supplies. Must be able to lift as least 40 lbs.

Must be available to work during office hours: Monday - Friday between 8am to 5pm; schedule negotiable.
Work student awarded students preferred.


Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Ability to communicate efficiently, both orally and in writing
  • Records maintenance skills: ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments
  • Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment
  • Work processing and/or data entry skills
