This position will be responsible for delivering remarkable customer service at the front end of our store and at our Gas Station location by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude; will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising. Cashier Shifts available between 1PM - 10 PM Gas Station Shifts available between 5 AM - 10PM BOTH POSITIONS REQUIRE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY CURRENT/PREVIOUS CASHIER OR GAS STATION EXPERIENCE A PLUS! What You'll be Doing: Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks. You create 'WOW' moments that have a positive and lasting impact on our customers. Complete transactions, handle money in all forms responsibly and maintain accuracy of point of sale purchases. Complete transactions related to lottery, tobacco, and alcohol products Assist with all positions in Service department (Check lanes, Self-Checkout, Meijer Pickup, Utility Clerk, Customer Service Desk, and Gas Station) Food preparation utilizing roller grill, coffee machine, and other food prep items. Assist with Gas Station inventories Use good eye contact and body language, displaying a friendly and outgoing attitude. Be prepared to handle customer questions adequately and appropriately. Build trustful relationships with customers to encourage return visits. What You Bring with You (Qualifications): Must be 18 years of age or older Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually. Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology. Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary. Desire to work with customers. Previous retail or customer experience preferred but not required. Good verbal communication skills. Detail oriented and organized. Friendly outgoing attitude. Ability to operate cashier register system.
