Overview

The SKLSI Summer Internship Program is designed to welcome college students to learn about the biopharma industry and engage with various function groups at a global pharmaceutical company. The Business Development (BD) team plays a critical role at SKLSI as they drive strategic growth objectives for the company through engaging in various types of transactions (e.g., licensing partnerships, strategic collaborations, and merger & acquisitions). Working alongside colleagues from different function groups and geographies, the BD team will evaluate numerous projects simultaneously, carefully analyzing potential market opportunities, product / technology differentiation, and ultimate fit with SKLSI's portfolio strategy.

The Business Development Summer Intern will assist the BD team with a variety of duties, ranging from comprehensive industry research, evaluation of commercial & pipeline assets, valuation analyses, and document creation (e.g., internal & external presentations, legal, etc.). Furthermore, the intern is expected to assist with administrative tasks while shadowing team members in strategic discussions. The intern will be involved in project-based work that will allow them the opportunity to learn how a pharmaceutical company sets forward a strategic growth plan and ultimately executes that strategy. The intern, in collaboration with SKLSI team members, will develop goals at the beginning of the internship to help define structure while maintaining flexibility to align with the interests of the intern. This internship is a great opportunity for someone interested in strategic decision making and deal execution in the pharmaceutical sector while engaging in a fun, meaningful, and hands-on work experience over the summer. This is a paid internship located at the Paramus, NJ facility.
