Logistics and Distribution Intern

QuidelOrtho is looking for a Logistics and Distribution Intern that wants to spend their summer working towards our mission: Changing Lives, One Test at a Time. Interns will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop their skills all while contributing to key company projects and initiatives. Our team will help students apply their educational background and broaden their knowledge base within their role and learn more about working in the medical device/biotech industry. Interns will work with a mentor(s) on a guided and impactful project and will be able to collaborate with and be part of a supportive and dedicated team.

Develop practical knowledge in logistics, inventory control, material handling, and process improvement while contributing to productivity and accuracy within the facility.

This Internship is a full-time (40 hours per week) paid program for 10 weeks.

Session 1: June 15th through August 17th

Session 2: July 6th through September 7th

Office Location: Memphis, TN - Students must be in the area for duration of the program. QuidelOrtho is unable to provide housing accommodations.

• Assist with daily tasks and ongoing projects in [department or team].

• Conduct research and compile data as required.

• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement solutions.

• Prepare presentations, reports, or documentation as needed.

• Participate in team meetings and provide input where applicable.

• Perform administrative duties and support staff as needed.

• Learn company tools, processes, and workflows.

• Create Standard Operator Procedures

• Work on QIC Kaizen Projects

• Do Time Studies on different functions of the DC

• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor's or Master's program in the Fall Semester 2026 at an accredited university or college.

• Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher.

• Able to start on either June 15th or July 6th.

• Ability to complete a consecutive 10-week internship.

• Must have work authorization in the United States at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work.

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary range for current Freshman, rising Sophomore is $18.00/hour; Sophomore, rising Junior is $20.00/hour; Junior, rising senior is $23.00/hour to $26.00/hour; Senior, enrolled in school for fall 2026 is $25.00/hour to $28.00/hour; or currently enrolled Graduate, MBD, PhD program is $28.00/hour to $30.00/hour. At QuidelOrtho, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
