Responsibilities & Expectations:

The Director of eCommerce & Conversion is responsible for IPS Power Management's eCommerce platform as a growth and revenue engine. This role is accountable for search engine marketing & optimization, conversion performance, online-generated pipeline, and revenue contribution.

The role ensures the website drives measurable commercial outcomes through disciplined execution, testing, analytics, and third-party management.

Key Accountabilities

  • End-to-end accountability for eCommerce performance, including search engine marketing and optimization, conversion rate, quote volume, online-generated pipeline, and revenue contribution
  • Leadership of the digital growth roadmap, including setting priorities for site optimization, testing, and enhancements based on commercial impact
  • Accountability for all third-party partners, including selection, management, and performance oversight of CRO, analytics, platform, and paid media providers
  • Leadership of conversion optimization efforts through funnel diagnostics, A/B testing, and continuous improvement to reduce friction and improve performance
  • Direction of platform priorities, including product, service, SKU, and pricing presentation, in partnership with the Product Manager and Price Desk
  • Integration of eCommerce with Sales process and team. Define handoff rules, response expectations, CRM visibility, and feedback loops to ensure online demand converts to revenue
  • Partner with IT as a product owner. Set requirements and priorities for ERP, CRM, and quoting integrations while ensuring eCommerce retains roadmap control
  • Establish performance transparency by defining key metrics covering traffic quality, conversion, pipeline creation, revenue contribution, and friction points

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the eCommerce growth strategy aligned with PMD objectives.
  • Own the weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating cadence.
  • Translate insights into prioritized actions with measurable financial impact.
  • Ensure speed of execution and avoid consensus-driven delays
  • Protect focus on outcomes over activity
  • Scale the model across PMD once ROI is proven

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 5+ years' experience leading eCommerce or digital growth in B2B, industrial, or services environments related to Power Distribution Equipment or B2B business of similar complexity.
  • Must have a strong background in search engine optimization, conversion optimization, analytics, and performance measurement with proven ability to manage agencies and contractors with accountability.
  • Excels operating in a lean, outcome-driven environment with strong commercial judgment and ability to prioritize for impact.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally and driving outcomes with an owner's mindset.
