Responsibilities:

The CDL Mobile Health Center Driver is responsible for the safe and compliant operation, transport, and maintenance of the Presbyterian Health Plan (PHP) Mobile Health Center (MHC). This critical role ensures the MHC is positioned and operational at various community and commercial partner sites throughout New Mexico to deliver essential healthcare services and support the organization's outreach, growth, and cost-saving goals. The driver will also assist the clinic staff with non-clinical support functions, serving as a professional and welcoming representative of the organization.

Some key responsibilities include:
* Safely operate the MHC (a large vehicle requiring a CDL) to and from its storage location and scheduled event sites across New Mexico, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
* Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document findings in required logs, and maintain a clean and mechanically-sound vehicle.
* Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, including preventative maintenance, fueling (diesel and propane), and necessary repairs, to ensure the unit is operational at all times.
* Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and prepare the mobile unit for any required inspections or regulatory surveys.
* Respond to vehicle-related emergencies or breakdowns and follow organizational reporting protocols.
Clinic Operations & Site Readiness
* Position, level, and secure the mobile unit at event locations.
* Set up the mobile clinic for service, including turning on necessary equipment (generator, water, Wi-Fi, etc.), deploying awnings, signage, safety cones, and ramps, and ensuring all equipment is secure.
* Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure the mobile unit is site-ready and properly stocked with supplies.
* Perform breakdown and secure the unit at the end of each session.
Patient & Community Support
* Assist patients with safe entry and exit from the mobile unit, potentially using a patient lift or stairs.
* Greet patients and the public professionally, helping to manage clinic flow and assist with patient registration or intake paperwork as needed.
* Serve as an ambassador for PHP at community and commercial events, supporting brand awareness and growth initiatives.
* Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Current NM Drivers License (Out of State candidates must obtain within 30 days of hire)
* A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B with air brake endorsement preferred.
* Maintain driving record insurable by Presbyterian policy
* A clean driving record.
* A current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating large commercial vehicles or mobile units.
* Ability to perform physical duties including sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and flexibly, accommodating a multi-event monthly schedule which may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
Preferred
* Experience in a healthcare or community service environment.
* Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor vehicle and equipment issues.
* Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
