Assembly 1st Class
Your main responsibilities
* Assemble fixtures as directed. * To be familiar with the various standard components which are used in the assembly functions. * To be able to perform assembly duties from details provided on engineering drawings and PDF files. * Each assembler is to examine his/her own finished work to ascertain that it has been assembled according to all the directions provided. * When moving completed jobs to next operations such as wiring, shipping or final inspection, make sure it has been assembled according to all the directions provided. * To maintain his/her own work area in a clean and safe professional condition. * To maintain company-provided tools in safe condition, secure such tools in a lockable toolbox provided for that purpose. * To perform all assembly work in an efficient, professional manner. * To meet company Quality standards in all work. * To maintain an acceptable level of productivity. * Able to use measuring tools (steel ruler, caliper, tape measure, etc.) * Able to read and understand engineering drawing and PDF files. * Follow company's safety rules and regulations. Proper lifting techniques required. The employee must frequently lift 25 pounds and/or move up to 40 pounds. Team lift.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- ELEC/MECH Engineering, drawing and BOM
- Manufacturing process, equipment, routing
- Multiple task management and project management
- Problem solving skills or lean six sigma
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical/financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables where no standardization exists. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and blueprints for materials and specifications.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint, or other software.
