Position Title: Process Engineer II
Wage: Based on Experience Our recruiting firm is partnering with a highly respected manufacturing organization in Richfield, WI to identify a skilled Process Engineer II. This is a full-time, direct-hire role focused on developing, optimizing, and supporting complex manufacturing processes, tools, and fixtures. The ideal candidate brings strong CAD skills, experience in machining or process engineering, and the ability to work on technically challenging, multi-step manufacturing projects. Position Overview: The Process Engineer II is responsible for validating and improving manufacturing models, supporting material and subcontract needs, and driving process optimization initiatives across production operations. This role requires strong analytical ability, advanced technical skill, and the confidence to collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams. Process Engineer II Responsibilities: - Ensure safe work practices and adherence to all safety guidelines and procedures - Participate in manufacturing performance improvement initiatives - Provide post-purchase order technical support related to manufacturing, materials, and subcontracted work - Validate and create manufacturing models using 2D drawings, scan data, and specifications to ensure dimensional accuracy and manufacturability - Conduct research on materials, features, and requirements for contract manufacturing projects - Develop and present design layouts to evaluate manufacturability and project feasibility - Participate in and lead design reviews with customers and internal teams to confirm alignment with technical and quality requirements - Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and associated files - Generate purchase requisitions for required components and materials - Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve design-related issues and support process improvements - Stay current on emerging technologies, materials, and engineering best practices - Perform detailed ERP data entry, including routing development and bill of materials creation - Support continuous learning and application of contract manufacturing principles Requirements for Process Engineer II: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology OR 2+ years of experience in process engineering, estimating, or relevant manufacturing roles - Strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and GD&T - Experience with CAM and CAD software - Strong communication skills-both written and verbal - High proficiency with computers and general software tools - Strong teamwork, collaboration and project organization skills - Experience with CNC machining preferred - 3D modeling experience preferred - ERP system experience preferred - Exposure to CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) and ITAR requirements preferred - Experience with Powermill or Siemens NX preferred Why This Opportunity Stands Out: - Direct-hire role with a stable, technically advanced manufacturer - Opportunity to work on sophisticated tooling, machining and process engineering projects - High impact role contributing to production optimization and customer satisfaction - Collaborative environment with strong cross-functional engineering support - Career advancement potential for engineers wanting to deepen process, CAD/CAM or machining expertise | |
