Position Title: Industrial Engineer - Contract

Wage: Based on Experience

We are seeking a Contract Industrial Engineer in Watertown, WI with experience conducting time studies and driving process improvements within manufacturing or industrial environments. This role will focus on analyzing workflows, establishing labor standards, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements to optimize productivity, cost, and operational performance.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to work directly on the production floor.

Industrial Engineer Responsibilities:

- Conduct time and motion studies to evaluate labor performance and process efficiency

- Develop and validate standard work, labor standards, and cycle times

- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities

- Recommend process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste

- Support capacity planning and line balancing initiatives

- Partner with operations, production supervisors, and engineering teams

- Document findings and present recommendations to leadership

- Assist with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Qualifications for Industrial Engineer:

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

- Proven experience conducting time studies and establishing labor standards

- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles

- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

- Experience with line balancing and workflow optimization preferred

- Familiarity with ERP or MES systems preferred

- Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
