Position Title: Senior Process Engineer
Wage: Based on Experience Our recruiting firm is partnering with a highly respected manufacturing organization in Richfield, WI to identify a talented Process Engineer IV. This senior-level role is ideal for a seasoned engineer with deep manufacturing experience, advanced CAD/CAM capabilities, and the leadership ability to run complex engineering projects from concept through completion. Position Overview: The Process Engineer IV leads advanced process development initiatives, optimizes complex machining and manufacturing workflows, and provides direction to engineering, programming, and production teams. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate with both customers and internal stakeholders on high-complexity engineering projects. Senior Process Engineer Responsibilities: - Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety procedures and regulations - Validate, adjust and create manufacturing models using 2D drawings, scan data, and technical specifications - Research materials, features and process methods to improve manufacturability, accuracy and efficiency - Develop and present design layouts to evaluate technical feasibility and manufacturability - Lead and participate in design reviews with customers and cross-functional teams - Prepare, update and maintain engineering documentation including CAD models, drawings and revision-controlled data - Provide technical guidance to CAM programmers regarding toolpaths, machining strategies and process intent - Collaborate with Operations, Production, Quality and customers to resolve manufacturing and design challenges - Generate purchase requisitions for materials, tooling and components - Adjust models based on production feedback to align with shop capabilities - Lead complex engineering projects from initial concept through final production release - Analyze and resolve advanced design and process issues; drive cost-effective process improvements - Determine and evaluate CNC work-holding and fixturing methods (e.g., custom fixtures, modular systems, vises, vacuum/magnetic chucks, soft jaws) - Create detailed fixture and process drawings to support shop floor standardization - Develop cost estimates, routings, BOMs, and RFQs within an ERP system - Conduct engineering reviews for contract processes and lead project kickoff activities Qualifications for Senior Process Engineer: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or 5+ years of equivalent process engineering experience - Advanced CAD/CAM proficiency and strong project management skills - Strong background in machining, blueprint reading, and GD&T - Experience with computer-aided manufacturing and computer-aided design systems - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Strong leadership capability and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams - High computer literacy and strong organizational skills - Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred - 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment preferred - Advanced 3D modeling experience preferred - ERP system experience preferred - Experience with CUI/ITAR requirements preferred - Powermill experience preferred - Siemens NX experience preferred - Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and reach overhead - Ability to lift up to 50lbs - Ability to read gauges, blueprints, precision instruments and computer screens - Ability to follow written instructions, safety guidelines and technical documentation - Ability to communicate effectively with team members throughout the organization Why This Opportunity Stands Out: - Senior-level technical ownership and leadership - High-impact work within a modern, advanced manufacturing environment - Competitive salary plus an excellent benefits package, including healthcare, retirement matching, PPE reimbursement, and wellness perks - Opportunity to lead major engineering initiatives and contribute directly to organizational growth and innovation | |
