R&D Lab Technician (Part-Time)

Location: Wilmington, NC

Pay: $21.00-$24.00/hour

Schedule: ~25 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Lab Technician to support polyol research, chemical testing, and product development in a dynamic laboratory environment. This role works closely with R&D leadership to execute experiments, analyze results, and maintain accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute experimental protocols including polyol synthesis and physical property testing
• Perform analytical testing using instrumentation such as FTIR, NIR, GC, GCMS, and LC
• Record and maintain accurate lab data, notebooks, and documentation
• Support R&D projects through material preparation and lab coordination
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments
• Assist with lab safety, compliance checks, and PPE adherence
• Manage lab supplies and inventory to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
• Experience with analytical instrumentation and lab testing methods
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols
