Lab Tech - Part Time

Job Title: Part-Time Laboratory Technician

Schedule: ~25 hours per week (3 days per week, 8-9 hours per day; flexible schedule)

Job Type: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Part-Time Laboratory Technician to support chemical property testing and general laboratory operations. This role works within a team environment and is responsible for assisting with testing, maintaining proper lab practices, and documenting results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with property testing of chemical materials
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laboratory safety protocols
• Maintain general laboratory practices and organization
• Accurately document and record test results
• Use Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting
• Support lab team with routine testing and sample preparation
• Lift and handle chemical buckets up to 45 lbs as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of laboratory experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field (Bachelor's preferred)
• Strong analytical background with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Ability to follow procedures and learn new testing methods
• Experience with laboratory instruments is a plus
