GENERAL FUNCTION

Seeking an Lead Business System Analyst to lead the delivery of innovative, vision-benefit-driven solutions that drive market expansion and operational excellence. This role requires a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects, ensuring that technology enables market expansion efforts across commercial and government insurance programs-including Medicaid and Medicare.

This individual will translate complex business goals and regulatory requirements into scalable, compliant technology solutions. This role requires the ability to interpret business requirements and will collaborate with stakeholders to define vision and strategy for insurance applications based on functional requirements. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of insurance benefits and claims systems. They must thrive in a matrixed, cross-functional environment, collaborating with EyeMed's Business Strategy team, multiple IT teams, and client-facing teams to bring strategic initiatives to life.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Influence product roadmap and system capabilities by aligning internal technical capacity with external market demands and compliance frameworks.
  • Function as a bridge between business strategy and IT, ensuring all initiatives are both viable and valuable.
  • Evaluate new enhanced vision benefit offerings that align with enterprise goals and support market expansion across government and commercial insurance lines.
  • Partner closely with the Business Strategy team to identify and drive new capabilities for member benefits.
  • Lead estimation efforts across multiple technical teams, constituent system applications, Facets core configuration and related systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure delivery of end-to-end functionality across core Facets, claims intake channels, EyeMed portals, member marketing/open enrollment materials, automation tools and API services.
  • Support Sales and Account management during client engagement to validate solutions and ensure they meet evolving needs, especially in Medicaid and Medicare domains.
  • Provide leadership across IT teams, from ideation through delivery, ensuring solutions are technically sound, scalable, and compliant.
  • Ensures the solution will meet the business objectives and user expectations.
  • Comfortable with taking a hands-on approach to assist in troubleshooting benefits issues.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Lead Business System Analyst or similar role with a focus on insurance benefits and claim systems.
  • Deep knowledge of benefit administration platforms, claims adjudication systems, and health plan applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Facets or similar claim administration systems.
  • Solid understanding of accumulators and benefit configuration.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on balancing business goals and system capabilities.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Strong experience working with development teams across multiple technologies in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience with data analysis, including querying and interpreting benefit data.
  • Prior involvement in market expansion or benefit transformation initiatives.
