JOB SUMMARY Reporting to both Dean of Business and Social Services and Dean of Student Affairs and Activities at Foothill College, The Pride Center Faculty Coordinator provides a full range of in-person referral services, community engagement, and culturally relevant programming that advances the success, well-being, and sense of belonging of LGBTQIA+ students at Foothill College. The coordinator develops and sustains equity-minded services, professional development, trainings, and workshops that honor intersectional identities across LGBTQIA+ communities, including but not limited to queer and trans students of color, DACAmented/Undocumented students, first-generation students, and students experiencing cultural or identity-based trauma. This role works collaboratively across campus divisions and with local community partners to promote inclusive practices, strengthen student retention, and foster a campus climate where LGBTQIA+ students feel seen, supported, and empowered. In addition, this position is approximately 50% as an active faculty member in the Sociology department. This role includes required participation in the department and Division meetings and initiatives. The faculty member will lead the curriculum development of LQBTQ+ related Sociology courses and teach in person, hybrid, and online courses in the Sociology Department.
