Title: Tax Senior
Location: Clayton, MO

Salary: $76,000 - $110,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week.

Focus: The Tax Senior will report to the Director of Tax Reporting and Compliance and will primarily focus on all areas of state income tax but will also work in a wide variety of tax areas to develop strategic tax opportunities and address complex tax issues. The Tax Senior will extensively work with and be mentored by 3 experienced Tax Directors.

Tax Senior Essential Job Functions:

  • Work closely with accounting and business departments to gather tax information from divisions to be used to produce the federal and state income tax returns, including verification of completeness and accuracy of data
  • Manage the state compliance process and state tax provision process, including state effective rate calculations and valuation allowance assessment. Review returns prepared by external advisors
  • Manage estimated/extension tax calculations and vouchers and coordinate payment. Manage state tax notices
  • Calculate state apportionment factors for US entities and actively contribute to state planning projects
  • Assist in gathering and reviewing of information associated with tax audits conducted by various governmental agencies
  • Maintain the tax fixed asset ledger including, reporting from SAP, evaluating system calculations of fixed assets and monitoring law changes impacting depreciation. Perform quarterly tax depreciation forecast and roll forward of tax fixed assets and reconcile information to book fixed assets. Inquire and document variances
  • Perform technical tax research to support the Company's positions within federal tax filings
  • Assist with global transfer pricing documentation
  • Work with the Director of International Tax external advisors on the preparation of foreign earnings & profits adjustments, GILTI inclusions, FDII exclusions, and foreign tax credit calculations
Tax Senior Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree* in Accounting or related field; Advanced Degree* preferred
  • 2+ years of work experience in tax required; prior state income tax experience highly preferred
  • Prior experience working in public accounting and/or with large, multi-state organization preferred
  • CPA, JD and/or CMI certifications preferred
  • SAP and Onesource experience preferred
  • Strong communication, technical, and leadership skills
  • Excellent time management and strong attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated and able to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks
