Job Overview

The Office of Human Resources is actively seeking a Senior Data Reporting Analyst to deliver advanced data analysis and enterprise reporting initiatives that support operational, workforce, and strategic decision-making. This role partners with Human Resources functional leaders to translate business needs into high-quality reports, dashboards, and executive-level insights. The position also supports compensation-related analytics and workforce planning.



Perform business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining to create high quality reports to be used for operational and executive level decision making.

Essential Functions

  • Determine best practices and develop actionable data-driven insights and recommendations to support the organizational decision-making process.
  • Work with departments to define business problems and questions; Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using business intelligence tools.
  • Support compensation and workforce analytics, including pay structures, market benchmarking, and equity analysis.
  • Provide support for analytics and reporting initiatives, and data collection as needed.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; develop actionable, data-driven insights.
  • Works with HR leadership to project trends, anticipate operational demands, and support data driven decision making across HR and business functions.
  • Evaluate various data sets, identify new types of data and data sources to determine patterns; synthesize data into meaningful metrics and numbers; monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies, and developrecommendations to optimize business processes and performance.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Prepare executive summaries, benchmark reports, and presentation materials for leadership.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality; support data governance standards and documentation.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.


Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience in reporting, ETL processing and/or background in complex data analysis techniques.


Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience supporting compensation or workforce analytics.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex functions, data manipulation, and analytical tools.
  • Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), SQL, and relational databases.
  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, or public-sector environments.
