Responsibilities

The Regional Manager, Field Reimbursement Navigators (FRNs), will operate as the regional leader and subject-matter expert on reimbursement, access, and coverage issues affecting the client's products. Lead and develop a team of FRNs to educate HCPs and their staff on matters related to reimbursement, access, and coverage to facilitate appropriate patient access. Analyze regional reimbursement and access trends and act as the escalation point and local resource for field sales leadership and region management. Collaborate cross-functionally with Field Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Public Affairs, State & Government Affairs, Trade, HUB, and Specialty Pharmacy Accounts while abiding by all corporate and industry policies and procedures.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 field-based FRNs across the western region
  • Establish performance expectations and drive accountability aligned to client objectives
  • Conduct field travel, ride-alongs, and performance coaching sessions
  • Analyze regional access/reimbursement issues and opportunities
  • Provide reimbursement expertise and escalation support for complex patient access cases
  • Coordinate on reimbursement issues with third parties including HUB and Specialty Pharmacy
  • Liaise with Specialty Pharmacy for pharmacy benefit products
  • Ensure consistent education to HCPs on benefit design (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid)
  • Support resolution of coding, billing, coverage, and appeals-related questions
  • Monitor regional KPIs and manage expenses within allocated budgets

Job Requirements

Along with a results-oriented mindset, leadership presence, and the ability to influence across a matrixed organization, the ideal candidate has:

  • BS/BA Degree required
  • 8-10+ years in Commercial Biotech/Pharmaceutical experience
  • 5+ years reimbursement, patient services, specialty pharmacy, or market access experience
  • 2-3+ years direct field-based people management experience
  • Proven experience with HUBs and in-depth knowledge of billing, coding, and appeals
  • Experience with commercial payers, Medicare, and state Medicaid plans
  • Demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed teams
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel, including overnights

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $187,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
