in one of these countries as sponsorship cannot be provided.

This Opportunity:

Collectively, GISI CG provides project management, environmental
permitting and engineering services to more than 45 energy utility clients
across North America. GISI CG is now expanding its services into utility consulting
and advisory work to allow it to better serve its clients. Accordingly, this EOI is intended to identify
experienced energy utility leaders and subject-matter experts who may be
interested in practice leadership, business development, consulting, or
advisory roles
to build out our utility consulting practice in collaboration
with other GICI CG companies, such as Hill International and GEI.

The North American energy sector is facing unprecedented pressures
related to reliability, affordability, load growth, asset condition, regulatory
scrutiny, and infrastructure investment. Our practice - as part of GISI CG
family - will support utilities in navigating these challenges through
practical, utility-grounded advisory and delivery services. Indicative areas of
focus will include:

System Planning, Reliability and Resource Portfolio Optimization

  • Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) and long-term system planning
  • Resource adequacy and capacity planning under uncertainty
  • Fuel diversity and portfolio risk management
  • Planning for evolving load profiles, electrification, and large customers

Grid Modernization and System Performance

  • Transmission and distribution planning and investment prioritization
  • Distribution system planning (DSP) and hosting capacity analysis
  • Reliability, resilience, and storm hardening strategies
  • Operational performance improvement and system analytics

Digital & Technology Enablement

  • Utility digital transformation and IT/OT integration
  • Advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and grid data platforms
  • Decision-support tools for planning, operations, and investment
  • Cybersecurity and operational technology risk

This role
offers a unique chance to contribute to a leading, values-driven organization
dedicated to serving its clients with excellence. You will play an integral
part in continuing to foster a culture rooted in integrity, collaboration,
excellence, intellectual honesty, and accountability across all levels and
stakeholder interactions. Beyond daily responsibilities, you'll have the
opportunity to demonstrate entrepreneurship and leadership as you help expand
and shape our global energy business. We are deeply committed to your ongoing
professional growth, providing continuous learning opportunities and supporting
your personal and career development.

We are particularly interested in mid-to-senior professionals
with:

  • 10+ years of energy utility experience gained through working at a North American power utility or a utility consulting firm
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business, or related field; advanced certifications in energy regulation or strategy are a plus
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-stakeholder utility initiatives
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, utility economics, and operating environments
  • Strong commercial judgment, client-facing skills, and leadership presence
  • Entrepreneurial spirit exhibited through hustle, grit & resilience: flexibility to do whatever it takes, comfort with risk and the unknown
  • High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships with key utility accounts
  • Experience in capital portfolio optimization
  • Multinational experience and ability to navigate diverse cultural and regulatory environments
