About The Role

Western Security Bank is currently seeking an experienced Commerical Loan Assistant. Commercial Loan Assistant II will provide loan processing support to the commercial lending staff. The Commercial Loan Assistant II position requires a range of duties including, but not limited to, pulling credit reports, loan file preparation, lien releases, collateral tracking while maintaining a high level of quality control. The Commercial Loan Assistant will collect, provide, and prepare loan documentation. This position requires the ability to interpret, understand and execute established policies and procedures. The Commercial Loan Assistant demonstrates a high degree of accountability through utilization of knowledge, skills and actions that protect the assets of WSB and its customers.

The Commercial Loan Assistant will work independently as well as in cross functional teams with various levels of knowledge. These cross functional teams assist internal support staff to accomplish position/department/customer goals within regulatory/policy guidelines. Will also serve as a liaison maintaining a professional, customer service-oriented demeanor in all contact.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Locate CRA information, Geocoding census track and gross annual revenue.
* Prepare and maintain customer loan files, including the loan file order and completion of the checklist.
* Perform collateral tracking, data entry, SOX documentation, and required follow-up.
* Responsible for various correspondence including tax return letters, insurance letters and any other required correspondence.
* Answers phones and directs customers to appropriate bank resource to answer questions.
* Exhibit knowledge of various forms and procedure manuals associated with the position.
* Exhibit proficiency on equipment and job-required software including Citrix, Windows-based systems, Jack Henry/Xperience, Silverlake, Vertex, and nCino.
* Responsible for ticketing loans, general ledger, and deposits.
* Processes paid notes and complete paid loan workflow.
* Responsible for Lien releases/reconveyances including vehicle, UCC, Deed of Trust and Mortgage.

* Demonstrate a working knowledge of Laser Pro and processing loan documents.
* Obtain and maintain flood search documentation.
* Knowledge of red flag warnings on credit reports.
* Will order various supporting documentation including Title Commitments and Environmental reports as required.
* Locate, maintain, and understanding of business entity information including Articles and Operating Agreements. How to search for the Secretary of State, ordering Certificate of Existence or Fact; UCC copies; by-laws or agreement copies.
* Working knowledge of HMDA and adverse action loans, including the required documentation.
* Exhibit knowledge of all commercial loan documents.
* Responsible for securing various recordings including DOT/Mortgage; UCC; EFS, Brand Lien; liquor; leases and titles.
* Responsible for reconciliation of the general ledger.
* Performs loan maintenance on Jack Henry.
* Responsible for wire transfers.

Miscellaneous Duties

* Complete required bank and OnCourse training courses within assigned time frame(s).

* Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.
* Attends and participates in meetings as required.
* Additional duties as requested or assigned.


About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

* A minimum of one year related loan, loan processing, and/or loan servicing experieince required.

* Previous experience with Silverlake, LaserPro, Jack Henry systems preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

* Working knowledge of Jack Henry Experience
* Basic knowledge of electronic banking products and/or non-electronic banking products with the ability to recommend appropriate products for internal and external customers.
* Excellent interpersonal communications skills including customer service orientation and strong listening skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure with a high degree of attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize and organize heavy workload(s) and demonstrate effective time management skills.

* Must have the ability to work in a professional manner and consistently demonstrate courtesy, customer service, and tact in a fast-paced/deadline-oriented environment.
* Ability to work quickly and accurately; perform effectively under pressure; meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and make decisions based on regulation(s), company policy(s), knowledge and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer and over the phone for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee constantly works with time constraints and maintains attentiveness, duration and intensity. The employee frequently has routine workflow. The employee frequently exercises flexibility (the ability to shift from one task to another). Guidance, reinforcement, and co-worker support are available frequently. The employee is frequently involved in social interaction which requires frequent oral and written communications.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
