Job Title: Junior Procurement Specialist (Marketing & Selling)

Location: Location: Smyrna, GA 30080 Hybrid (2 days onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months (Possible Extension)


Pay Range: $43/hr. - $45/hr.

Client is seeking a Junior Procurement Manager, Marketing & Selling to support the US Marketing/Selling & Impact Procurement team. This role will contribute to the execution of procurement strategies across key marketing categories including agencies and media, data acquisition, market research, and patient support services.

The position focuses on operational procurement execution, supplier management, sourcing activities, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver value, optimize costs, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

This role reports to the Agencies and Media Category Lead and will work closely with marketing stakeholders, procurement leadership, and external suppliers.



Key Responsibilities

Procurement Execution & Sourcing



  • Support the implementation of category procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing processes including RFI, RFQ, and supplier evaluation.
  • Assist with contract negotiation and supplier selection using procurement-approved tools.
  • Provide fact-based sourcing recommendations to governance groups.


Supplier Relationship Management



  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with marketing vendors and agencies.
  • Support supplier segmentation and performance evaluation.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs outlined in supplier contracts.
  • Act as an escalation point for selected suppliers when required.


Stakeholder Engagement



  • Partner with marketing and commercial teams to understand business requirements.
  • Promote the use of approved procurement buying channels and improve stakeholder experience.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Procurement, Legal, Sustainability, and Risk.


Contracting & Compliance



  • Support collaboration with Legal to ensure appropriate contractual terms.
  • Ensure risk management and sustainability considerations are incorporated into supplier contracts.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, audit, and procurement policies.


Value Creation & Continuous Improvement



  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
  • Support supplier sustainability initiatives and responsible sourcing practices.
  • Engage with analytics and procurement platforms to enhance sourcing insights.



Qualifications

Education



  • Bachelor's Degree required


Experience



  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related commercial roles
  • Experience supporting marketing procurement categories such as:


    • Advertising or creative agencies
    • Media buying
    • Digital marketing vendors
    • Market research agencies


  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries is preferred



Skills & Competencies



  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience supporting supplier negotiations and contract management
  • Ability to manage procurement projects and timelines
  • Knowledge of procurement tools such as SAP, Ariba, Globality, Power BI, or Icertis is a plus
  • Strong analytical and cost optimization mindset
  • Collaborative team player able to work across cross-functional teams



Equipment: VDI only - Client will not provide a laptop or equipment.
