Public Relations Manager REMOTE $100,000 to $110,000 DOE We are seeking a seasoned Public Relations Manager with robust expertise in media relations to support both proactive and reactive media engagement across the expansive operations of Global Medical Response (GMR)-the leading provider of air and ground emergency medical services in the United States. In this prominent and influential position, you will oversee a team of public relations specialists and coordinate media relations activities across GMR's various locations and brands at the local operational level. Your primary objective will be to deliver outstanding PR support and cultivate effective media engagement. Key responsibilities include securing impactful coverage in local and regional media outlets, providing guidance to on-the-ground teams regarding media relations, and proactively managing inquiries and requests from media outlets nationwide. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: * The Public Relations Manager will lead the day-to-day PR function and support regional PR Specialists in proactive and reactive media engagement. * The Public Relations Manager will work with leads across GMR to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and preparedness for proactive or reactive media engagement; develop position statements and secure media training spokespeople/PIOs as needed. * Support GMR PR Director with local, regional, and national crisis communications. * The Public Relations Manager will work a rotating on-call shift for weekends and during crisis responses. * Create content for media materials, including press releases, media advisories, holding statements, etc. * Lead and manage daily departmental operations, ensuring effective local operational support and continuity. * Provide ongoing reporting and analysis. * Manage the GMR community relations advocate identification and training initiative. * Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media. * Maintain and build corporate media lists. Preferred skills includes: * Strong writing skills. * Availability for Eastern Time Zone, which would provide coverage balance for the team. Minimum Qualifications: * 5 + years of related professional experience in public relations or journalism required. * Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills are required. * Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred. * Ability manage multiple requests while working collaboratively with other departments required. * Motivated with sound judgment and commitment. * Ability to work well within a team environment and adhere to internal processes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is required.
