Job Summary:

As the Player's Buffet Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the front-of-house operations of buffet, including seating, station arrangements, staffing and cleanliness of the dining room. Optimizes profit by controlling labor cost. Ensure guest satisfaction by consistently providing excellent quality service. Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position's job description, where in the Company's judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service. Assists with menu development and implementation as well as ordering (requisition) and inventory for the department. This position's wage is $56,250.

Essential Functions:



  • Direct the activities of shift supervisors/unit personnel as required; evaluate performance, coordinate scheduling of personnel to provide adequate staffing, instruct employees on policies, procedures, duties; handle disciplinary matters.
  • The Buffet Manager must know local, state and federal regulations for the sale and distribution of alcohol. Assures compliance with all health department regulations
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Buffet. Develop and implement standards of quality and performance. Verify inventory (Beer/Wine/Liquor), Control Labor; ensure product quality and investigate service complaints. Directs cashiers and money.
  • Oversee the processes of ordering, inventory, budgeting, profit / loss control, of Player's Buffet front of house.
  • Conduct personnel interviews and training development/procedures.
  • Delegate and oversee all Player's Buffet Front of house activities
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:



  • Minimum 3- 5 years Restaurant Management in a casino or hospitality environment
  • Minimum 3-5 years Inventory
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Food Manager ServSafe Manager Certification.
  • High school or equivalent is required; bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Must have excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and must be able to work with shifting priorities
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to coach, develop, and train others


Physical Requirements:



  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally required to work at heights above 10 feet high
  • Frequently required to lift items up to 30 pounds
  • Occasionally required to push or move items up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to reach overhead


Environmental Working Conditions:

The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.
