HRIS Consultant

Location: Remote /Part-Time

Position Summary
The HRIS Consultant manages the organization's HRIS platform, ensuring accurate system configuration, reliable data management, and effective reporting. This role supports HR, payroll, and business leaders by maintaining system integrity, resolving technical issues, and delivering workforce data insights.


Key Responsibilities
* Administer and maintain the HRIS platform, including user access, workflows, approval paths, and security roles
* Maintain organizational structures, job codes, cost centers, and system configuration tables
* Perform system audits and data validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity
* Troubleshoot HRIS issues and provide technical guidance to HR, payroll, and system users
* Assist with configuration updates related to PTO policies, eligibility rules, and workflow changes
* Support testing and validation of system updates, upgrades, and enhancements
* Develop and maintain HRIS reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics
* Support compliance and operational reporting including ACA, EEO, OSHA, payroll reporting, and audit requests


Qualifications
* Ten or more years of HRIS administration or support experience in mid to large organizations
* Experience supporting HR, payroll, benefits, reporting, and compliance functions through HRIS systems
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data management skills
* Experience developing HR reports and working with workforce data
* Ability to manage priorities independently in a remote consulting environment
* Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and professionalism when handling confidential data


Preferred
* Experience with UKG or comparable enterprise HRIS platforms
* Experience supporting multistate employers or regulated industries such as healthcare
* Experience with HRIS implementations, upgrades, or integrations
* Advanced experience with HR reporting and data analytics

Work Environment Considerations


This position operates remotely and involves extensive computer use and communication via email, messaging platforms, and video conferencing. The consultant must maintain a secure and professional home workspace to protect confidential employee data.
