Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Optimization of drug inventory stored within pharmacy automation.
  • Coordinate, plan and execute any automation add-ons or new hospital opening or hospital conversions
  • Maintaining of the Automation Databases (creation of new users(students)/items/reports)
  • An active member of the pharmacy department and pharmacy council structure as it relates to the use and optimization of pharmacy automation across the system.
  • Assists with evaluation of future medication automation products for all vendors considered beneficial to the organization
  • Assists in the development and compliance with pharmacy automation policies and procedures
  • May be asked to staff and perform all duties of a certified pharmacy technician

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy related experience including the oversight of pharmacy automation dispensing and storage technology.
  • Project management experience in the planning, preparation, and implementation of drug and inventory control automation projects including user training.

Certification and Licensure

  • Pharmacy Technician License & Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (PTCB)
  • Eligible to obtain or hold IL Pharmacy Technician License and/or Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration

Provides direction and oversight to the Automation Support Technicians and responsible for all aspects of automation system-wide.

PAY RANGE:

$26.11 - $37.86
