Title: Raw Materials Supervisor Salary Range: $79,000 - $80,000 Annually Status: Exempt Location: Soledad, CA Reports to: Materials Manager GENERAL DISCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: To oversee all plant Raw Material inventories and ordering of Raw Materials from raw sourcing group, tracking from direct field harvest, coolers & transfers to meet finished product schedule demand. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION: * Supervise Soledad raw material inventories, orders & deliveries through the national sourcing group in accordance with forecasted demand. * Daily reporting and order execution matters communicated on the regional raw material conference call. * Work with regional plant supply managers and supervisors to implement & advance resupply models & order work sheets. * Work with national sourcing and west coolers improving hold over consumption opportunities. * Report, track & take corrective action to improve Soledad raw disposal costs with national sourcing and plant supply teams. * Warehouse and Truck transfer management * Track & communicate raw quality issues * Maintain mainframe and JD Edwards systems * Follow all food safety requirements and GMP's as applicable for this position * Ensure the integrity and continued operations of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities * Other duties as assigned JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: * 5 Years' experience in materials, logistics and manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing preferred. * Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and both written and oral communication skills * Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Excel and Word, Spreadsheets, JIT delivery systems * Bilingual - English and Spanish preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Must have the ability to maneuver around an array of equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders and/or stairs. * Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. * Must be able to work in a cold environment. * Must be able to lift 25 lbs. WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to work beyond regular business hours, weekends, rotating shifts required.
