Job Description POSITION LOCATED IN THE LEHIGH VALLEY, PA USA THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION The information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties, responsibilities, skills and/or abilities. Position Overview : Junior Accountant: Responsible for working on accounting, financial planning and analysis functions in support of the flagship plant, Allentown; key member of the Plant Accounting Team working in all areas of plant accounting as directed; interacts with plant and corporate personnel as required. Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Coordinating day to day accounts payable issues with plant, Shared Services and 3rd party vendors & customers, specifically (but not limited to) clearing of accounts payable issues, such as goods receipt/not invoiced, sales tax discrepancies, understanding pricing discrepancies, etc.
  • Owning data entry process of sustainability reporting in system of record
  • Owning analysis and reconciling of plant freight issues in system of record
  • Managing standardized spend tracking from invoice procurement to posting on P&L
  • Owning new vendor/customer setup in system of record
  • Preparing monthly sales/use tax filings
  • Preparing check requests as required
  • Preparing manual journal entries as required and at direction of Controller
  • Performing P&L analyses in system of record as required
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly spend tracking and interfacing with plant personnel and vendors to adjust for overruns
  • Coordinating preparation of monthly compliance tasks for review by Controller and department peers
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations in system of record
  • Assisting with data gathering/preparation for internal/external audits as required
  • Assisting with budgeting/forecasting as required
  • Other tasks as assigned by Controller
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Demonstrate sound problem solving/analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel as financial analysis tool, Power BI a plus
  • Effective team player; strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrates strength in attention to detail and values data integrity
