Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. (Position Is a full-time Probationary, Tenure track Position) Fall 2026
Qualifications for Employment:
Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Education from an accredited college or university, and two years' experience teaching English at the post-secondary level. Previous Online teaching experience is preferred.
Nature and Scope of Duties:
The Educational Opportunity Program Educational Specialist reports to the Director of Student Life:
* Develops, delivers, and monitors the learning activities of students seeking assistance
* Develops innovative activities/programs to support student learning, collaborating with academic departments and student service offices as appropriate.
* Selects, develops, and updates instructional materials to support courses instruction.
* Selects, develops, and updates self-paced instructional materials for EOP students seeking assistance for their courses
* Meets with and tracks academic progress of EOP students.
* Serves as a liaison to other departments, and other campus committees, as appropriate.
* Develops and conducts workshops to improve students' study skills.
* Keep complete records of academic meetings with EOP students.
* Provide support, assistance and necessary resources.
* Monitor progress reports, mid-term and finals grades and provide follow up;
* Participates in staff meetings and staff development activities.
* Performs other duties consistent with the role of Educational Specialist, Educational Opportunity Program
The Salary beginning the Fall 2026 academic year is $53,000.00.
