We have a client seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support and maintain the organization's enterprise infrastructure across corporate and hospital locations. This role is responsible for managing core systems, supporting cloud and on-premise infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of technology environments that support critical healthcare operations.

The Systems Administrator will work within a Microsoft-centric environment, supporting Microsoft 365, Azure cloud infrastructure, Windows Server environments, and enterprise identity systems, while collaborating closely with the networking, cybersecurity, and support teams.

This role requires a strong technical foundation in enterprise systems administration, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and operational troubleshooting in a fast-paced, highly available environment.

Key Responsibilities Systems Administration
  • Administer and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments across corporate and hospital locations.

  • Manage Active Directory and Entra ID including user provisioning, group policies, and identity lifecycle management.

  • Support and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

  • Manage system patching, updates, and configuration management across servers and infrastructure.

Cloud Infrastructure Support
  • Support and maintain infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, networking components, storage, and identity services.

  • Assist with cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure initiatives.

  • Monitor system performance and availability across cloud and on-premise environments.

Infrastructure Operations
  • Support enterprise storage, virtualization, and server infrastructure.

  • Monitor infrastructure health and respond to system alerts and operational issues.

  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and lifecycle management of systems.

Network & Platform Collaboration
  • Partner with the networking team to support infrastructure connected through Cisco networking technologies.

  • Assist with system connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and infrastructure-related network services.

  • Support troubleshooting of infrastructure issues affecting network or application performance.

Security & Compliance
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across systems and servers.

  • Support vulnerability remediation, patch management, and identity security initiatives.

  • Work closely with the cybersecurity team to maintain secure configurations and respond to security events.

IT Operations & Support
  • Serve as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 escalation point for infrastructure-related support issues.

  • Collaborate with the IT Support team to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Maintain documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Qualifications Required Experience
  • 3 years minimum experience in systems administration or infrastructure support

  • Strong experience managing Windows Server environments

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 platforms

  • Experience working in Azure cloud environments

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and identity management

  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure issues

Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments

  • Familiarity with Cisco networking environments

  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V

  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools

  • Experience supporting distributed enterprise environments or multi-site organizations

Certifications (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator

  • CompTIA Server+ or Security+

Technology Environment
  • Microsoft Azure

  • Microsoft 365

  • Windows Server

  • Active Directory / Entra ID

  • Cisco networking infrastructure

  • Enterprise monitoring and infrastructure management tools

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
