About the Job

Position Summary

The Resource Sharing Coordinator coordinates and manages retrieval and scanning workflows across all Minitex Twin Cities locations. This role serves as the primary operational lead for multi-campus resource sharing and directly oversees student employee operations, including hiring, training, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workflow Coordination: Manage multi-campus request queues; balance workloads and staff to meet service standards; resolve complex request issues; and maintain operational documentation and scanning best practices.
  • Student Supervision: Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of student staff; manage semester schedules and timesheets; and ensure compliance with university work-study guidelines.
  • Service Support: Monitor verification queues in Mira; provide backup coverage for campus staff; and serve as the primary contact for resource sharing scheduling software.
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Participate in departmental and organizational meetings; contribute articles to Minitex News, present at regional workshops and conferences; and assist with physical delivery tasks, including sorting and moving materials.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Attention to detail in an environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • BA/BS degree plus at least two (2) years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience to equal at least six (6) years. Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative organizational environment.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and also collaborate as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • Experience with library classification systems.
  • Experience with library catalog records.
  • Experience providing a high level of service in a library setting.
  • Experience with Interlibrary Loan management systems, such as Alma, ReShare and WorldShare.
  • Experience with Interlibrary Loan workflows and policies.

Physical Requirements (if applicable)

  • Experience with library classification systems.
  • Experience working with library catalog records.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service in a library setting.
  • Experience with interlibrary loan management systems (e.g., Alma, ReShare, WorldShare).
  • Knowledge of interlibrary loan workflows and policies.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment, 40 hours/week

Position Type: Civil-Service
