ABOUT THE ROLE

The student intern will be responsible for completing an annual compliance-required audit of the chemicals used and stored at the Skokie facility, then use this data to develop a site chemical inventory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and maintain a complete chemical inventory for the Skokie facility to include both Manufacturing and Distribution operations.
  • Cross reference the chemical inventory against existing Safet Data Sheet (SDS) documentation to identify gaps or outdated records.
  • Obtain and add current and updated SDS documentation to the company SDS library as needed.
  • Conduct environmental, safety and health audits as required including Preventable Serious Injury and Fatality (PSIF) and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) audits.


JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative on new tasks
  • Able to work in an engaging, fast-paced, and learning-oriented environment


PAY RATE

The base pay for internships ranges between $23.50 - $33.50/hr. Factors, such as but not limited to, whether the role is technical or non-technical and education level may impact the pay for this position.
